Nokia 7510 to Launch with UMA
Nokia made its mark on the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) audience this week when it introduced its latest UMA-enabled phone, the 7510. Nokia's calling this a 'stylish' phone with charming lights and an external display that stays hidden until needed to show information such as caller ID or a song title. It is a Series 40 device that can be quickly flipped open with the push of a button.
Engadget reports that this is one of four devices in Nokia's 'Supernova' series. Style is good, but UMA Today readers like to know about features and functionalities. The device is 3.64 x 1.83 x .66 inches and weighs 4.37 ounces. It has a 2.2 inch QVGA display, 240X320 with 16 million colors. It features a 2 megapixel camera with flash and supports up to 8GB microSD memory card.
"The Nokia 7510 will be a great addition to our lineup because it features changeable faceplates, which means our customers can easily personalize their phone day-to-day," said Travis Warren, director of device marketing at T-Mobile USA.
The device will be available in late January through an exclusive agreement with T-Mobile US. Its UMA features will be put to good use by @Home subscribers.
