Linksys WRTU54G Terminal Adaptor for HotSpot @Home
Linksys has recently filed with the FCC for approval on its new wireless router with integrated UMA-enabled terminal adaptor (TA) capability. By integrating a UMA-enabled TA into the router, Linksys is enabling mobile operators to offer fixed-line VoIP services off their existing mobile core network. With mobile operators looking to accelerate fixed-to-mobile substitution, offering a UMA-based, fixed-line VoIP service is one more great way to capture in-home calling minutes. The Linksys product is the second UMA-enabled TA in the market....Motorola's RSG3500 was first listed on the UMA Today web site in July. The Linksys WRTU54G is rumored for upcoming deployment by T-Mobile as part of its HotSpot @Home service. |
